Membership Benefits

We invite you to become a member or renew your membership in the Kootenay Lake Chamber of Commerce. There are several benefits to membership; first is that all member businesses are featured on the KLCC website. Other important benefits include the lobbying done on businesses’ behalf by the BC Chamber, and the unified voice we have in representing the East Shore to regional and provincial government.

In addition, only Chamber members can have their advertising displayed on the ferry racks, or their business included in the KLCC brochure. Having your brochure on the ferry is a great way to attract travelers who have not yet set their plans – $35 for all that outreach!

Inclusion in our attractive and informative East Shore brochure further expands your advertising reach – for only $140! The brochure is now self-sufficient - no more subsidies from the RDCK – and gives you great bang for your buck.

But you must be a Chamber member to take advantage of these great opportunities!

While the KLCC has a primary focus of encouraging tourism on the East Shore, it is important that ALL businesses are represented. This is particularly important because of the lack of local government in the area – in this vacuum, the Chamber is one of the few effective, transparent, responsible local organizations with the ear of government.

Your participation is essential for the Chamber to be truly representative!

The Chamber is involved in so many things:

An East Shore Job Fair
Input to the Ferry Stakeholder’s meetings
Recommendations on policing on the East Shore
Input to the RDCK regarding lake levels
Working with the Ministry of Transport on signage and road maintenance
Helping to develop a fire station in Crawford Bay
Supporting the expansion of high speed internet on the East Shore
Supporting community efforts and celebrations
Meetings are the 3rd Monday of each month at various locations up & down the East Shore (no meetings in July or August). Come on out, meet old friends and new, and make your voice heard.
