If you prefer to fly, you can take a private charter flight and land at the Kokanee Springs grass airstrip in Crawford Bay.

If you are flying by charter in the winter, you can land at the paved airstrip in Nelson and arrange for ground transportation via the ferry to Kootenay Bay or any of the other communities on the East shore.
